Academy Award-nominated writer/director Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale) presents the funny and moving tale of Roger Greenberg (Ben Stiller), single, fortysomething, and at one of those life crossroads. He finds himself in Los Angeles, house-sitting for his more successful brother Phillip (Chris Messina).
Seeking to restart his life, Greenberg tries reconnecting with old friends, such as a former bandmate Ivan (Rhys Ifans), but, alas, old friends aren't necessarily still best friends.

Greenberg soon finds himself spending time with his brother's personal assistant Florence (Greta Gerwig), an aspiring singer and also somewhat of a lost soul. He tries not to be drawn in, but resistance is futile and Greenberg and Florence manage to forge a connection. Could Greenberg at last have found something to be happy about?
"Greenberg scintillates with intelligence, razor's-edge humor and austere empathy for its struggling lovers." --Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal (Rated R for some strong sexuality, drug use, and language.)
