She falls in love with her American classmate Jacob (Anton Yelchin), and they embark on a passionate and life-changing romance. The two young lovers wrestle with keeping their relationship in the face of both distance and endless struggles with immigration.
"A romantic drama that makes other romantic films look obvious and calculated in comparison." --Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle (full review)
"The emotional honesty of Like Crazy, which is comparable to Richard Linklater's great Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, is far removed from most of what passes in these goony movie days as youthful romance." --Peter Rainer, Christian Science Monitor (full review)
"No other recent film has so deftly captured the act of falling in love or so artfully interwoven the more practical efforts of maintaining that connection." --Claudia Puig, USA Today (full review)
Like Crazy won the Grand Jury Prize--and Felicity Jones won the Special Jury Prize--at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
