Few coming-of-age stories involve Orson Welles, but the latest movie from Richard Linklater does just that.
It is set in 1937, and stars Zac Efron as Richard Samuels, an aspiring young actor who lands a job with Orson Welles (played by newcomer Christian McKay) and his legendary Mercury Theatre Company. Faster than you can say "Rosebud," Richard finds his life set on a new course as he prepares to appear in Welles' soon-to-be groundbreaking production of Julius Caesar. As if that weren't enough, he also finds romance with older woman, Sonja (Claire Danes).

Richard also learns a few lessons about crossing swords with the imperious and brilliant enfant terrible...
"The story of a teenager's sometimes uncomfortable brush with greatness, it is necessary viewing for anyone whose imagination has been seduced by the charms of art." --A.O. Scott, New York Times
