"Culture should not end
at childbirth!"

The Saratoga Film Forum announces Morning Mommy Movies!
The Saratoga Film Forum is proud to announce the introduction of
Morning Mommy Movies. Screenings of the regular weekly film series
will now take place at a special time, specifically for parents
(and grandparents) with "non-walking" babies. The new
program will be Friday mornings at 10:00 am in the Dee Sarno
Theater at the Saratoga County Arts Council Theater in downtown
Saratoga Springs. The program will begin on April 5th with "The
Last King of Scotland".
The new program is made possible thanks to a grant from the Alfred
Z. Solomon Charitable Trust. Pat Friesen, Saratoga Film Forum
President and Program Chair is excited to premiere Morning Mommy
Movies. "Young parents have little opportunity to enjoy outside
cultural activities because of babysitting and time constraints.
After speaking to a number of young moms, it became apparent they
would be very interested in having a program made available during
a convenient time of day and in a setting that welcomes parents
with babies. Not only will they be able to see an adult film, but
they will have the opportunity to meet other young families."
In an effort to meet the special needs of "mommies",
twenty new comfortable chairs have been purchased and changing facilities
will be available. "Parents and not-yet-walking babies are
welcome. We have a changing table, the lights and sound will be
low -- a comforting place for snuggling, nursing, napping -- and
of course, some crying. With this audience, no one will mind."
added Beth Chiquoine, board Vice President.
The Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust was established to benefit
nonprofit scientific, educational and charitable organizations by
funding projects and programs in memory of the Trust's founder,
Alfred Z. Solomon, a leader in the fashion industry, horse racing
enthusiast and philanthropist of Gansevoort, NY and NYC.
